S60 2010 D5 - Outside Temperature Unit
Hello all,
Sorry I got the wrong forum initially, so second time lucky :-) I did a bit of help so I thought I would ask those who have all the experience. On my S60 the outside temperature unit seems to have an intermittent fault. It works fine but then drops down to -40 and stays there for a while before slowly coming back. I have had the unit changed which fixed it for a while then it came back so I am wondering if it is due to an issue with the door loom? Does any one know how to get around this. I read that there is a reset with pressing the AC button and the air recirc button together? Any information or advice would be appreciated. Regards Bob |

Not sure if this will help but i had same issue on my S40.
The sensor is in the passenger side door mirror but i just separated the door wiring loom connector and cleaned it out with a large shot of contact cleaner then a dose of silicone spray. There was a fair bit of water inside the connector. Works fine now.

Hello Thanks for the idea.
I did that and although no water I gave it a good go with the contact cleaner. It did take a bit of working out about how to remove the plug, on the S60 you lift up the top section which anchors the connector into place. I'll see how I get on. :-) |
