Default Cutting out after 20 min on motorway

Hi all
I have a 2005 euro 3 xc90 2.5d, drives fine around town but when I go on the motoway after 10/20 minutes it cuts out, like it's run out of diesel.

Anyone any ideas on poss problem.
I was thinking maybe pump relay or fuel pressure sensor.
Thanks

Done the fuel filter about 2month ago
Am near the mcr airport

No warning lights

If I pull over an keep trying to start it, it eventually restart which makes me think fuel starvation

You may have some more input if you post this in the correct area, you are in the 'later' model area.

Try a run with fuel cap removed when tank is not too full, if it runs ok it will be the breather or fuel cap vent.

This comes up every few weeks on various forums I follow.

It's almost always a blocked breather on the fuel tank, opening the tank for a moment allows the car to run again after the pump pushes enough fuel through.

A car is a car. They often tend to have the same issues, whatever the brand or fuel.
