Having only just got this car I have rectified all bar this fault on it.
The car is running absolutely fine however when engaging winter mode or 3 on the stick the check engine light and the up arrow both come on together, the lights don't flash. If i turn winter off or go back into drive the lights go off. No obvious faults, car doesn't appear to go into limp mode either. I plugged the car into vida, cleared all old faults and only one fault remains. This is an ECM fault. Has anybody had this fault and knows how to fix it? Red ECM-7F Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) - signal missing 284: ECM-7F Malfunction indicator lamp. Signal missing. Permanent fault Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information Condition Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-7F is stored if the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) circuit is short-circuited to ground / voltage or if there is an open-circuit in the circuit the control module has interpreted as a fault. Substitute value None. Possible source Signal too high: ◾Short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable. Signal too low: ◾Short-circuit to ground in the signal cable. Signal missing: ◾Open-circuit in the signal cable. ◾Damaged MIL lamp. Fault symptom[s] ◾None. |

Sounds like a short somewhere. A long shot here but you may want to pop off the shifter bezel and reach down to see if some wires are being stretched any time the shifter goes too far aft. These wires may be part of same ground circuit with MiL. Long shot like I said. Good luck.

changed the radio earlier and took the speedo pod out to fit hands free microphone, it would appear the speedo pod wasnt located properly on the multi plug, it has stopped coming up with warning lights
