B230FK, M90 and other parts
I'm not in any rush to sell my spare engine, but if anyone wants an engine and box...
B230FK out of a 96 940, 136k on the clock, slight blow on the exhaust manifold but I've got spares. Engine ancillaries have been removed for storage, comes with a dual mass flywheel, turbo, manifolds and downpipe. £250. M90 gearbox, unknown mileage, comes with shifter, clutch fork and gearstick support bracket. £150. If needed,I have a 940 diesel clutch setup and dogdish flywheel to make it a complete setup. The flywheel is still fitted to my 240. £TBC.

Could you post a photo of either side of the B230FK block?
Or do you know if it has oil squirters? Last edited by Shamb; Nov 30th, 2015 at 15:49. |

Hi, yes it does have oil squirters, all post 93 blocks have oil squirters.
This is the best redblock to use, with squirters and 13mm rods, along with having only run 4psi throughout its life. I haven't got photos at the moment but can get whatever you require tonight if requested. Dan

Right that's great, just to clarify exactly what is included in the £250? And are you willing to post?
Also just general photos would be great Is this a full setup that could be used in a 240? Cheers Last edited by Shamb; Nov 30th, 2015 at 17:01. |

Hi, I didn't get chance to get decent photos last night, there's a few bits in the way that need dragging out before I can get the engine stand out.
Included will be the engine, inlet manifold, exhaust manifold, td04-13c turbo, stock 940 exhaust downpipe and a dual mass flywheel. To do away with the dual mass flywheel, you would need a dogdish flywheel and a 940 tdi clutch. The other issues that you would need to overcome for the turbo conversion would be to lengthen the prop shaft, modify the downpipe to fit, fit a block mounted dizzy (you can probably use the one on your current engine) and engine wiring. As for postage, I could probably deliver it as I'm only in Torbay, if you have means of getting it out of my boot!

Thanks for the reply.
It all seems good, I don't want to mess you around so I don't have the money right now, and probably wont till after christmas. So don't hold on to any of it for me. And I think when I have the money and it's still available, I would just buy the engine etc. not the gearbox, I'm getting a bit ahead of myself. But if you still have it when I have the money, I'll be in touch Cheers |

I notice you have been in touch with Dan, he's a really decent guy and I've done business with him in the past. I have responded to your request on "240 wants" a couple of days ago regarding the need for a 230 block and sump but you didn't reply, may I suggest you treat decent guys on the forum as you wish to be treated, it's called respect and goes a long way to a better deal when everyone reads what your mission is. We are all here to help and not take each other for granted. Good luck with your Volvo project and do your sums before getting guys to waste their time................. |

Yeah, but it's polite to at least reply if someone takes the time to say 'I might have what you're looking for'.
