Default Help: Front springs.

My first post here so hope this is in the correct section.

My 2008 V50 failed its MOT on Friday dues to a snapped OSF spring, I'm happy to replace it myself but I can't seem to find the correct spring.

When I search on carparts4less and Eurocarparts with my reg the wrong car shows up.

So, I thought I'd ask for help on here finding the correct part.

The car is a 2008 Volvo V50 2.4 D5 SE Sport, I believe I've got that right.
Attached a photo of the sticker in the drivers door shut.

I spoke to Volvo and they quoted me £132 + VAT for the spring alone.

And £357.84 + VAT for supply and fit,

Upgrade to coil overs?

Its something I want to do at some point just to try remove some of the sponginess from my car. But would likely end up changing the dampeners at same time.

I have the same engine and I understand that as its slightly heavier that different springs are used. This may also be complete bollocks so hopefully one of the useful volvo members will turn up soon

As an fyi this is what I get with my reg 2008 D5

Sachs Coil Spring (Front)Product Code: 627661510

Cheers for the reply mate.

I've just booked it in for both front to be replaced, can't be done until the 17th but isn't an issue.

Changing springs scares the life out of me so thought I'd let the professionals do it.

Fair play, spring clamps are terrifying and have had serval near decapitations. Have found that the "two hook" spring clamps give a bit more safety.
