Default Axle stand location

I've done a search but still not really clear where's best to locate rear axle stands. I want to get my alloys refurbed so need to put it on four stands for a few days, I'm also going to do the Haldex fluid whilst I've space. The manual is clear for the front but only shows jacking points on the rear. What's people experiences?

I tend to lift the entire rear using a chunk of wood onto the middle of the subframe behind the diff and then place axle stands on the jacking points.

No problem!

I followed the ‘volvosweden’ video for the Haldex service. It mostly went to plan, the white plastic plug that seals the filter was a lot harder to remove on my car. No chance of pulling it out with a pick. I could have done with a small slide hammer with a screw in the end. I managed to get it with a seal puller, eventually.

The locking tab for the electrical connector on the pump also snapped. I was being careful but it was brittle. It’s a VW part… https://youtu.be/oDWKcAiLJ_Y

I had a couple of days of intermittent AWD errors whilst I waited for a replacement connector to arrive.
