  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.

In addition to above, whether you choose new or used, arm yourself with some silicone grease, or spray, to make for easy assembly and wipe off any excess residue with a microfiber as it can attract dust.

I bought the used ones. Pretty sure they’re just dust caps anyway rather than being of any significance

Glad to be of some assistance.

They may seem like an insignificant dust seal but I feel Volvo included them for a reason. Perhaps to absorb noise and vibration from the injectors during their operation.

Ever noticed how an engine sounds different, especially diesel variants, when you remove the various covers/under trays? Volvo probably spent a great deal of time and money developing these suppression devices only for an uneducated tech/mech to chuck said noise absorption in the skip as it cost him 5 minutes of your time to remove.

BTW...I'm just ranting at the workmanship I've witnessed in recent years...not yours.
