Default Next ones an 850...

Hi all after struggling on with our V70s ETM issues for the last couple of months have decided to let her go, will no doubt be scrapping her or advertising as spares or repairs.
Whilst thinking of upgrading to a P2 model, I couldn't get away from the idea that if it was petrol it would still have an ETM.
I a complete 360 I've plumped for a 96 P plate 850 2.5 TDI from the specialist that attempted to resolve the ETM issues.
At only 123k miles and one owner for last nine years, seems quite a clean albeit 18yr old car.
Looking forward to better mpg and more classic Volvo motoring any ideas what else I could be letting myself in for?

Good move, Ive got 2, One of each! Was in the motor trade 32yrs, The design and build quality of the 850 is right up there. A well maintained TDI with 123K is hardly run in, I would recommend oil and filter changes at 5K intervals instead of 10K and if in doubt do the Timing belts, Tensioners and waterpump for total piece of mind, Oh and enjoy the 45+ MPG!

Nope, fed up with saggy door cards... and try as I might I can't fix them OR find decent replacements.

Thanks Klunk took a mate with me who's also a dealer and he also swears by the 850
He sort of swung it for me really as I was erring towards P2s with winter packs - the other half's going to miss the heated seats.

Hi marc to be honest the cream interior of our v70 ain't that great, the door cards have seen better days and the seam is split on theleather drivers seat. Once I've worked out what I'm doing with it (going to have one final look at the ETM wiring like me Formula cars are convinced there's a fault with it - can't be the ecu as the dealer thinks) after that if no joy your welcome to see if theres anything you might need.
