Front brake pad indicator
Heard a squeak the other day when stopping gently, is there a warning light on the dash to show low brake pads ?

well on mine I'm pretty sure there won't be because there's no sensor in the pad like there was on previous BM's I've had
so unless there's some other method of working it out like detecting a reduction in brake fluid level I'm guessing the answer is no that said you can check your fluid level at the refill tank, if it's gone down a lot and you haven't got any leaks, then it's time to check the pads |

Only Police vehicles got a brake pad warning light, a lovely yellow led screwed into the dashboard, civilian ones did not.

Eyeball a squeak. Remember, the pad could be crooked.
It'll stop (though not as effectively) but soon will scratch the rotor. How many miles on the brake job? It's visual inspection time. |

A squeak could just be glazed pads or discs, slightly undercut discs or dry pads in their mounts, a worn pad contacting a disc is more of a heavy scrape.
