  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Does anyone know how much a steering rack costs for a 2002 2ltr S-60? Painful I bet.......

or car parts 4 less.

My second hand one was 75 quid, it's bob on. The big cost is fitting! It's a 6 hour job.

So I hear, I have a rattle on my steering pump that the mechanic tells me could either be the pump itself (I hope) or it could be the rack. I'm just preparing myself if you know what I mean

I'd do all the other jobs before you get to the rack. There's half a chance you won't have to touch it then!

You're not that far from harrogate - my mechanic would do that (and has done for me in 2 hours) !!!!!!!

Whilst you could bring it over to harrogate - get an alternate quote from nearer to home

Too late, its on!

I didn't mind paying a bit though and really didn't want to try dropping the subframe on my own!

It is nice not having a puddle of oil under the car all the time!
