I dont know if this is frowned apon, but I saw this, and although I'm not interested myself, I thought someone might like it.

Hi
RudSpeed was a well known tuner for the amazon back in the day. They did varying work on the engines of which head work was included. They are identified by the Rudspeed plaque riveted to them. Quite a rarity. Ellerman-Jacobsen was another such company that specialized in the vintage Volvo tuning. Dylan |

Hi Dylan,
And not to forget your country's very own Alconi, run by Puddles Adler, superb work. Have you ever come accross any of his Amazons/Volvo's? or had anyone? James |

The problem with Ruddspeed is they stuck plates on the head for everything. From a simple head planing through to an outright port/polish/valve job.
I'm actually tempted to buy it now, as I have a Ruddspeed head on my P1800, but the plate has fallen off (still have the rivets). The same guy is selling some Jensen C-Pillar badges, and I only have replica ones on my car. If I can win both then it might be worth my time to drive down to pick them up. |

Well, possibly not. Sorry to anyone here if I just cost you a bit of money.
If someone here does buy it, want to sell the plate? |

Thats really weird. I bid £35 on this head, and was out-bid according to ebay. Its now marked as selling for 99p, which was the starting bid.
Bugger. |

Hi there I was bidding too, and suddenly got a mail to say my bid had been cancelled.
Basically he sold it outside of eBay, I offered him £100.00 at the start of the Auction (must have been mad) hemailed me yesterday to say he had an offer he most certainly could not refuse?? I have never tried to offer anyone money near the start of the auction prefering to let eBay run it's course, but i thought if I don't someone else will. I do know it sold for a 'LOT' more than I offered, which = a lot of dosh for a name plate the size of your thumb nail eh? as the head was supposedly knackered. Having said that when was the last time anyone saw a Ruddspeed head for sale. James |
