1981/82, 1987, 2010 and our good friend Beast for the East. All the listed are winters that were humdinger winters (from memory) where there was lots of snow, freezing temps etc etc. I think there is climate change going on without a doubt but that said; sorting the science from the media chaff is a tough job. It just amazes me that given what is going on it’s turned into a profit fest while sending in the easily led to take the risks while they coin it in the background. Sounds kinda familiar don’t it?
If people knew what and to what extent they’d have to change their lifestyle to go scratch the surface of climate change they’d run away screaming

I was living in Sheffield and learning to drive in the winter of 81/82, when the snow came I phoned the driving school to see if the lesson was still on and they said it was up to me but they wouldn't charge me if I cancelled. I decided to go ahead with the lesson and we drove from the centre of Sheffield on the cleared main roads before my instructor told me to 'take the next left..' which took us into the snow bound suburbs, I spent most of an hour's lesson driving on snow and learnt so much, there have been many times since then that I've wanted to go back and thank that instructor for giving me the knowledge and confidence to drive in difficult conditions.

yep. If the climate didn't change, then we wouldn't have had the ice age,,, and if it didnt Keep changing,, well we'd Still be in the ice age, but thankfully "green house gasses" (thanks dinosaurs) fixed that

all the "why/how/when" are not "man made" cos,, shocker we werent about to cause the ice age or the ending of said ice age ,despite there being no "carbon taxes" and others ,,(back to blaming the green house gasses from dinosaurs i bet !! elleventy one ones ohhnoes ah but they are extinct now ,proof its bad ,,see instamuppetbook for fact checked proof)

I think we’ve just pushed things along compared to the natural rate of knots. However, until Governments start making a realistic push to sorting things out nothing is going to change. We need to save the Earth!!! Oh look, there’s a nice war we can fight etc etc. it’s a joke mate.
By the way, how’s your V50 these days?

its fine, costing me money like it grows on sustainable trees

spent a Fair ol bit on it last year, rear suspension/arms/springs etc, cambelt ,etc,, may have to replace a front wing in the Very near as some scrote turned into me in traffic and drove off, but it goes Brummm and the heater is lovey
when its warmer ill be looking at disks/pads & brake fluid swaps and no doubt looking at it with the machine polisher in hand cos if it needs it why not ,,depending on wing replacement + painting of ,which will be a trusted bodyshop job not rattle can.

about the only thing id swap it for would be a "decent" XC90 ,,if they have more luggage/people space
