Changing Power steering reservoir in 2013 XC90
I checked the Power Steering fluid level and found it’s a bit low (right at the bottom of the dipstick in the lid).
The car is 10 years old and I don’t know if it’s ever been flushed before so …. Planning to replace the whole reservoir (as I’m assuming the internal filter would be full of gunk) and drain the system. Reading some posts on here it sounds like the system holds just under a litre so I will get 2 litres so I have some to spare. I guess I can’t get the fluid in the pump and rack out. Should I turkey Baster / return line remove what I can, turn the steering back and forth a few times. Top it back up with the new reservoir and flush that ? Or would there be a better way to do it. Thanks |

Whoops! Thanks for pointing that out. Hopefully an Admin can delete (I can’t find a delete button).
