Default C70 roof stuck

Heyyyyy all! So I’ve had a problem with my roof, it gets stuck on the last bit of opening and I can get it fully open by holding the button down for excruciating 5 second chunks haha but I cannot close it again at all now!

Wondered if anyone had any advice ?

You can manually close it (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i6NVwfXUi5s) and take it to a convertible top service

you need vida for a roof problem its the only way to diagnose it. its possibly a short or broken wire to one of the sensors stoping it completeing its cycle. manual opening or closeing requires at least 3 persons as its very heavy and some of the components are fragile proceed with care if contemplating this as you could cause more damage. vida is a must have. or take it to a dealer or specialist roof company somthing you can try is stop the car lock and leave for 10 mins return to the car and try to close the roof this allows the modules to reset . good luck.

Thank you!! Defo not able to close it manually myself hahaha as I’m but a young lady but it did close this morning, I had tried intermittently over the weekend but gave it one last go before taking to the garage and it just played with me. Second time this has happened and super annoying lol! I will take it to a Volvo garage to see what’s up! Thanks again for your help.

Had a similar problem with mine Amy. Took it to Volvo Dealer and they wanted in excess of £700 just to diagnose the problem!
