@ITSv40 - We had a similar DL experience when we bought the Yeti. We traded in our 5-Series BMW also insured with DL and we're pretty shocked that it was so much more expensive than the BMW to insure. DL response was 'It's a much newer and more expensive car...'.

It is currently cheaper to insure my Volvo than it is our Yeti, despite the Volvo being newer, worth a lot more, a higher insurance group and with much more complicated parts in it! Everything else has stayed the same. You just have to search every year if your policy goes up by more than 10% The Yeti is still in high demand despite it being discontinued 6 years ago. |

Remember, speed doesn't kill, incompetence does.

Neither speed nor incompetence generally kills... its the sudden stop at the end that does it every time.

I'm no saint. Nowt wrong with speed - in the right place, and 70-80mph in this particular 50 limit is just plain dumb. It's a rural road with many bends, and junctions. Heavy agricultural and equestrian vehicles in and out of various junctions. Didn’t the Highway Code say something about 'being able to stop well within the distance you can see to be clear'? Not a chance.

Right, then you go on to slate young people and their lack of money. Very nice that... Finally, of course you've never had to make a claim so you don't really have any knowledge about thecompany at all. |
