V70 SRS and CEM issue
Hi all
I decided to fully charge the battery in my 2008 P3 V70 just before winter kicks in. Since I refitted it I'm getting the SRS Service now message which when I reset it with my plug in it comes back on seconds later. Typically it's also due it's MOT soon. I'm getting B1A5568 crash record output algorithm failures from the SRS module and B10A202 crash input general signal failure and B10A215 crash input short to battery or open from the CEM. I'm getting 12.5V at the battery terminals and clamps with my multimeter but my plug in is only showing 11.8V. It starts no problem. Has anyone had this before? TIA John |

this is a common problem caused by low voltage or a failing alternator. the crash data module has set a hdd code which cannot be erased with a code reader you will need to find the cause of your low voltage and fix it then send the module for repair. crash data in Liverpool do a postal service for this. the module is most likely to be under the center console. i have just repaired this problem on my c70. scan with vida to find your voltage loss and to confirm the crash module fault.

It was a dying battery, confirmed with one of those digital load testers. New battery fitted and no SRS light on either, thanks again for your help!
