On the distributor cap, the center contact with the spring seems to get stuck in the cap. Now that I cleaned a bit, looks better. But this shouldn't get stuck should it? Btw, cap is Bosch and doesn't look very old.

It's much looser now. But if i press it it does get stuck. I imagine rotor never presses it that much though.

yes :-)
can you get a paint brush and hot soapy water to wash it out and let dry , I see no tracking or burning there though , That is the original Volvo specification one with lacquered internals to prevent tracking , the standard Bosch don't have that .
