White Tube Throttle Area
Hi all,
Been having a nosey under the bonnet of my 98 V70 as I have suspected PCV issue with smoky dipstick (different story). Heard a sllight hissing sound with the engine running, and found that a thin white tube has worn through from rubbing on the throttle cover so that it has a hole in it. It runs from the throttle area to a sensor looking thing above the fan. When it's moved and the hole is opened/closed the revs change. I've taped it up for now to close it. What is this line for and where would I find a replacement, what to search for ec. The rubber boot on the manifold end is also a bit perished so looks like it could do with replacing. Cheers, Bill |

To help clarify, I've added an image with the tube in a box

The white tube is most likely a vacuum pipe to possibly an EVAP solenoid or a pressure sensor. Volvo dealer will be able to supply the correct pipe and elbows
