Default Towbar bumper cut for S60 d5 (185) 2007

Im a bit lost as which cut to make in bumper for my S60 with the Volvo supplied tow bar kit.
The instructions show two chassis numbers versions(ch 425000 or ch424999) which is either a rectangle cut or a near square cut. Both these markings are inscribed on the inside of my bumper.
The supplied template shows the near square marked to cut but this is bigger than the one marked inside my bumper.
I found my VIN number but cannot find my chassis no. from this.
I started job a bit late so hope to finish off tomorrow so any advice would be helpful otherwise I have to just start with the small cut, try up bumper and recut if needed.

Always do the smaller cut anyway, it's a 60 second job to try the bumper on, but measuring the receiver width and checking that against your specs should be fairly obvious.

Thanks, that makes sense I was just trying to save time dragging my wife outside to hold up the bumper with me. I should of started earlier today but did the right thing and knocked off as it got dark and off work tomorrow so I can make early start weather permitting!

John.
