2016 V60 signs of over heating
Just completed an air & oil filter and oil change on our 66 plate V60 and on removal of top engine cover noticed some obvious signs of over heating, see photos attached. Car has been into the garage for the engine over heat mod a while ago now. Any ideas?

Could this not be from before the over heating problem and the garage visit? Or did they replace all heat damaged items, and this is the result of a further problem?

I guess you are referring to either the intake manifold fire risk recall a year or two ago or the slightly more recent cooling system bleed pipe fit recall? Neither of those would have caused what's apparent in those photos.
I can't really tell what's happened here. Is it definitely recent?

I guess I will have to take it into the garage for them to take a look. Thank you.

Have you owned the car long? It does look like there's been quite significant overheating, possibly even a fire. Has the engine top cover got corresponding damage, or has it perhaps been replaced? Do you have comprehensive history? Has it always been serviced at Volvo.
While there is obvious burn damage, it doesn't necessarily look like it needs urgent correction.
