Default 2007 D5 C70 Hall Sensor 12 fault, 2112

Hi all.

Please help.

I have a 2007 C70 2.4 D5 Auto and absolutely love it.

Yesterday when I came to put my roof down the boot opened but then I got an error to say ‘Roof Fault’. It would then neither open or close, then 5 minutes later, I was able to close the boot again.

Had it code read today and the error is ‘Hall Sensor 12 Ground Short’, code 2112. I have a schematic showing where Hall Sensor 12 should be, on the passenger side on the opened boot but I just cannot see it.

Please could someone help me as to where it is, perhaps with an actual picture if possible.

Also, does it mean a new sensor is required or maybe something else,

Many thanks in advance 👍🏼

it very rare for hall sensors to fail it more likely to be a wire broken in the harness which leads to hs12 they normally break where the wire is repeatedly bending you will need to unwrap the harness covering to find it .join the c70 owners group on face book there are some files listed which show diagrams and service documents for the roof

Ok, thanks for the info, I’ll have a look on FB.

Could you point me in the right direction of hs12 please, so I could check the wire?

Thanks

from memory i think its on the inside of the boot lid visible when it opens to allow the roof into the boot all the info is on the group. or you could download the pdf info yourself to a laptop. or the info is also on vida.
