1970 Volvo 1800E For Sale.

Hi Guys.

Firstly, sorry that my first post is in relation to a car for sale, but to be honest, I have very little idea of its value?

It is a 1970 Volvo 1800E coupe. Fuel Injected version.

Its being sold due to a house to bungalow move by an elderly gentleman. The car has belonged to his son for around 23 years, in that time it hasn't been on the road, but the pair of them have gradually improved the car, including structural work, and a respray etc.

The car starts, runs and drives well. It just needs a few bits putting back on to get it on the road. Some trim needs refitting etc...Its all there!

Its all there (bar a set of headlamps) and it looks in very reasonable shape. Its still has the original volvo alloys wheels etc, and the interior seems to be in nice condition.

During the last 23 years, the car has been stored in an indoor, heated garage/worshop, but this facility will be lost with the house move.

It would make a very, very easy project for someone who knows what they are doing....They could probably have it back on the road after a couple of weekends locked in the garage!

The car only has one previous registered keeper prior to this.

First registered on 21 -07- 1970, it will qualify for TAX exemption and it has an interesting number plate, which has been valued by reg-transfers at £1500 after all sale deductions, should the new owner decide to sell the number plate. (This wouldn't be my choice!)

My intention is to list it on Ebay tommorow, on a no reserve auction, with a £1 start price. That way, hopefully the car will find its own price level, and it will go to an old car enthusiast, or if it goes into the trade, I'm sure there could be a very healthy profit in the car for someone.
