2000 V70 Rear Door Speaker Resonates With Speech Radio
Hi
The n/s/r speaker of my V70 resonates like mad with bass frequencies when tuned to any speech radio e.g. Radio 5 or Radio 4. Anybody ever had that problem and know how to fix it? Thanks |

Hi,
It sounds like its possibly blown to me?, have you been playing your music loud before hand. You could try the connections on the back, make sure they are good (but i think its blown my self) |

Without a Haynes manual to show how to remove the trim and the speaker I'm running blind here, but if the kit isn't blown, try:
1) putting your finger at strategic places on the door to see what's buzzing - if it's the speaker cone itself, then it is blown and needs replacing, but not if it's the chassis. 2) Tightening any fastenings slightly - don't overtighten. 3) If 2) doesn't work, take the door apart as much as you can and put blu-tack in any areas of trim-metal contact and in the screw holes. I'd also put a thin bead of blu-tack behind the speaker chassis before you bolt it back down. |
