Default 2011 XC90 bluetooth

Has anyone taken delivery of a MY11 XC90 with bluetooth yet?

If so I'd be interested to know how the bluetooth function works.

cheers

I saw that - but what I wanted to find out was how it all works - mic location, which display is used to give the info, what comes up in the display etc etc.

Bluetooth is ok. But it's like any Version 1 product....Its not perfect.

It works with select phones. So google volvo Bluetooth Compatibility to find out more.

It works with my Nokia 5800 but the phone book is a manual (blue tooth) transfer, and I dont get call history.

Sound quality and usability is excellent though.

Got my XC90 yesterday and very happy with the Bluetooth. My phone is not on the list of compatible phones (it's a Samsung i8910) but it works perfectly: access to phone book, call history, etc. Very impressed.

In fact, very happy with all aspects of the car so far - after doing a 100-mile round trip in it last night. Not too happy with all the squished flies on the front of it now though.

So as per my original question - can anyone with MY11 and bluetooth explain or have any idea:

Where the mic is located.
Which display the info comes up on (is it the dash or the centre console screen or both).
What info is actually displayed.
Anything else which might be useful.

1) Mic is in the ceiling above the driver's head.
2) Info comes up on the audio display in the centre of the dash.
3) Info displayed (s.t. phone compatibility) includes phonebook/contacts (name + number), signal strength, call register. There may be some others too.
4) Anything else? Not really, it just works very smoothly and how you would want it to. Most controls, e.g. leafing through the address book, can be done from the steering wheel controls.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for that info, Welshlad, answers a question I had too.

Do any of you have any idea if the Apple iPhone OS4 upgrade, as discussed in another thread, affects the ability of the iPhone to work with the MY11 Bluetooth system?

The circle above the driver's head is a speaker - at least that's where my dial tone comes from when I make a call.
In my previous XC90 with GSM comms pack, the mic was in the rear view mirror.
Perhaps the mic and speaker are together in the new models - although might this not cause a problem with feedback or something?
