Default D5 BSR tuned MPG

Anyone who as a Euro 111 D5 that has had a remap by BSR PPC can give me an idea what happens to MPG.
Cheers.

I have a 2003 D5 with the 197bhp PPC remap.

At a steady 80mph I get 53-55mpg, around town (very stop start 26-27mpg). On a mixed run anywhere in the 40's.

Question

Which model of car gives this MPG?

I actually find it hard to believe that ANY car with the D5 motor will do that sort of MPG.....

  • V70 D5 (163bhp)
  • Generation 2
  • 5-Speed Manual
  • Eu III
Low 50+ MPG without thinking, rises to mid 60's MPG with thinking, planning and restraint.
  • V70 D5 (185bhp)
  • Generation 3
  • 6-Speed Manual
  • Eu IV.
Lucky to see 40+ MPG. However, when long motorway runs at the "unofficial speed limt", see mid-40s

Those that struggle to get 50+ MPG from a EuIII on mixed driving, perhaps need to get their vehicles checked.

This is based on tanking "brim-2-brim", as I do not believe the on board computer.

I'm not talking instantaneous - I can get 60mpg to show on the XC90 with ease - But an average over a fair period of use, say couple of hundred miles minimum?

I have an S60 2005 d5 automatic which is very slow up to 60 - 70 MPH, is this Normal for the auto and will a DPT Tuning Box or a Remap help? Thanks, Steve.
