S40 Euro III or Euro IV
Does anyone know how to tell if my 2004 S40 2.0D is a Euro III or Euro IV.
The stealers have told me mine is due to have the diesel particle filter replaced, and want around £800 for it. My car was registered in July 2004 and I thought there were Euro III at that point |

easiest way is to have a look at the tailpipe,if its very sooty its euro 3,if its clean euro 4,also the euro 4 has 2 big hoses going to the inlet manifold.

Thanks Grass hopper.
I just did a check on the smmt for the co2 of the Euro III and Euro IV. Euro IV is 152, and EURO III is 148. Checked on the DVLA website, and mine is 148 ............. Stealer's trying to pull a fast one again ?!?!?!?!?!? |
