Sporadic failure to complete start cycle
Hi all, now and then my 2012 V40 D4 fails to start. It tries to turn over (video linked: https://photos.app.goo.gl/8Z6ZU526d2KC4Pqx7), then gives up the ghost. Sometimes I have to repeat the start cycle several times before it starts. And sometimes it's fine! Rolling the car with my foot off of the clutch, in third, doesn't help, so I doubt it's a sticky starter motor. Any ideas?
I also get the fault code B110B77, which is to do with connection to a rear door locking motor. Haven't had any problems with the rear doors locking or unlocking... But this leads me to think that it might be something electrical. Battery is well connected, main earth to car is solid and in good condition. Fuses all plugged in tight. Could it be an earth in the rear door or something? Thanks for any ideas! |
