On my V70 reg.2002 its the standard 140hp engine. I get a burst of white smoke if I accelerate hard in 3rd at say 30 to 50 mph and also in 4th at say 50 to 65 hard acceleration. It lasts for up to about 4 seconds in total carrying on for a split second while taking foot off throttle to change up a gear. Performance acceleration seems fine as usual.
Hope its not head gasket as its the LPG bi-fuel car and could be expensive to take all the lpg kit off the head. Oh and it smokes same when switched to petrol as it does on LPG gas. Water level looks fine, No gunge under oil filler cap. Engine oil dipstick level normal and looks fine. Any ideas from you experts whats wrong with her so I can advise garage. Hope it could be something simple. Dont want to end up taking her to a main dealer. Thanks to all in advance Last edited by TomW; Mar 6th, 2010 at 22:55. Reason: punctuate and spelling |

You would do better to post in the 2000> section, first thought is a blocked PCV system.
