Default Bumper Protector

Hi guys, I would like the opinion of you all (or as many as possible, anyway). When I bought my car, the previous owner had some dogs and they have made heavy scratches on the bumper of the car (I'll try and get some pics up but it wont let me at the moment for some reason). I cant afford a re-spray, I know that would be the best thing. However I've seen this, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWAX:IT , on e-bay and I've seen a couple of pics of people on here doing a similar thing to their cars. But I wanted to get your opinion not only on doing this to the car, but on the colour... would it look silly and better off with a black one, or is it ok? Please follow this link to see the colour of my car: http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=88952

Cheers everyone, Niall
