diagnostic problem

I have a copy of fcr and it all works perfectly except when i try and reset the service light it comes up with error on 1st message recieved. Also when i try to communicate with the instruments it comes up with invalid data. If i keep trying to reset the service light it will say service light reset successful start car to check, start the car light is out, but in the morning service light is on again. The car is a 98 v70 tdi auto. I hope someone has an idea as its just annoying

is it an original copy and not a demo.

yes it is an original copy and i used it on another volvo this time a 96 850 and everything worked perfectly, so must be a problem with my car

Try this:

1999 Model Service Lamp Reset Procedure
1. Press and hold trip odometer reset button
2. Turn ignition key to run position KPII (not the start position)
3. Wait 30 seconds or until service light begins blinking
4. Release Trip Odometer button
5. Turn ignition to off position
