Sun roof not working
V50 2010 1.6D SE Lux. Sun roof not working almost closed or slightly open depends which way you look at it. Motor makes the right noises but no movement. It's had the battery on and off a few times. Tried most of the tricks on the forums but nothing seems to be mentioned for the V50. Any help would be appreciated.

If it's not moving at all can you hear the motor? Sounds like a motor failure.
I assume you've checked the appropriate fuse?

Sun roof not working
Can hear the motor when button pressed but no movement from it. Its stuck very slightly open (i.e slightly lower than roof at rear of sunroof). Is there a reset or calibration?

There is but only if the motor/assembly works. The calibration process configures the travel endpoints of each operation. In your case the glass won't move so that process is of no use. Unfortunately it sounds to me like the gear teeth that drive the mechanism have stripped meaning you'll need a new motor unit or, worse, sunroof assembly.
Sorry to say I'm not imagining that will be a cheap fix. I'd be surprised if the unit is coded to the car (can check in VIDA) but second hand parts may be your friend here.
