its not really the mods fault tbh , one or two certain members on here see themselves as "victims" and are are forever bending the mods ears, they have to react i suppose, overall id say its moderated quite sensibly and fairly. ps, im sure a "victim" will show up shortly!

I didn't ask for the thread to be locked and wish that the entire thread could have been left complete for people to see without the deleted posts, nor do I see myself as a 'victim'. I am not critisising the moderation, this is their field of expertise, not mine. I have nothing more to say now

I feel like your primary intension is just to create attitude around here chow ,I feel like your rude comments are pointed in certain direction and members and the response you get has nothing to do with sensibility of the members. If you feel like insulting someone, just keep it for yourself for the next time,ok?

I think I would put it at more than "one or two" who feel they are or have been victims. As a recipient, I for one find the "says it as it is" more insulting than being of any constructive help on any of the subject matters on the forum.

No everyone has to be nice to each other , even if you hate the said person . All garages in which you take your cars to for service work or other, cannot do any wrong , even when sometimes they do .

mmmmmm i can see yer kinda missed the point realy !!!!!! sayin it how it is is one thing but bein blunt to the point of being offensive !!!! maby all just need to chill a little n think about others feelins a little
its human nature that not all will see eye to eye all the time but most will pull together if there is a prob or major injustice
somtimes stuff thats typed just dont get the point across as it would if face to face , so look at what yer put before posting it might just save closed n locked threds

As in most things, it's a question of balance.

I was in a motor club which allowed threads to run and run. More and more vitriolic posts and personal insults become regular. Sides were then taken and a civil war broke out. Many people left in dismay and disgust and it split in to two factions, both of whom established new forums. The two forums still lob grenades at each other after two years!!!!

So the mods can't win, but I reckon they do a good job.

It needs stopping, but in the background, not openly on the forum. We don't know what the mods are doing in the background, let's just trust them to do what's appropriate to stop this sort of thing continuing to spoil such a nice friendly (mainly), helpful, forum.

I'm sure they are VERY aware of Number 1 in the Forum Rules, and will do what they think right.

RULE 1

Be courteous to others. We do not tolerate any abusive behaviour. We do not tolerate any obscene comments or images. We do not tolerate derogatory remarks directed toward a particular member or group of members. If you are not sure, either ask a member of the moderation team or don't post it.
