Volvo M40 to M41 Conversion.
Good afternoon all!
Im planning to convert my M40 gearbox to M41 in my volvo 144. I have all the parts planned but i just wanted to know how much i need to shorten the propshaft by? I cant find any numbers anywhere and i would like to get a quote on the shaft shortening before i pull the trigger on the other parts. If any of you have a shorter driveshaft that would be amazing too, happy to buy it off you Many thanks, Alex |

Hi I did this quite a few years ago but I had a complete donor there are a couple of places that do driveshafts but depends on your location.

Hi Alex,
Is your plan to fit "D" or "J" type overdrive to the M41. I have a 122S with D type and can measure the prop front section if it helps. I am not sure though if a 122 and 144 share the same prop. Chris |
