It sounds like one hell of car, I've never seen a volvo with so many heated seats, by my count its a ten seater plus any seats that aren't heated. Maybe the mechanic had to travel 90k miles to complete the job and the cost includes a travel allowance?

It does reek of a total-gumtree-markup, I wonder who'll buy it and what it'll sell for in the end

Just a thought.

There's always something on overpriced cars that have been polished to death. It's perfectly fine for an averagely-priced car to need a bit of work, but for top dollar you want a car with everything right.

There's a garage near Elgin that's had a Maestro and Montego for as long as anyone can remember, possibly since they were current. IIRC one is £3000 and the other is £4000. Both are in the condition you'd expect for a four or five year old example, but unfortunately that's not very good. One has an ECU with yellow scrapyard pen on it and the other has a four speed gearbox when it should be five- so you'd get something akin to second owner timewarp rather than new timewarp.

So the answer to you're question could well be nobody ever.

With my forthcoming work upheaval making me consider selling my S70, I was contemplating around the £1500 mark.
Not any more.Going to keep it.
Rather get another job than someone make money on it.
Regards Andy
