CALLING ALL 940 TURBO OWNERS!!!
If you own a 940 turbo I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you get a cat replacement pipe fiited. Not only is my economy better but performance is up too, especially low down torque (And since i have an auto this is important!) I've also been quoted £320 for a powerflow exhaust from the cat replacement pipe too. A superchip is also available for 940 turbo's at a slightly steep £511, BUT the increase in power is supposed to be superb. This means with these modifications us 2.3LPT owners can go from a adequate 165bhp to 200+ bhp. So watch out you smug full pressure turbo owners!!
QUESTION -------- I have tried to source a turbo dump valve from EVERYWHERE for my B230FT but have now given up. Can anyone help?

RE: CALLING ALL 940 TURBO OWNERS!!!
Sorry to put a wet blanket on your revelations Scott but the cat can only be dispensed with up to a certain date of car ( somewhere around 1992/3). After that a catalyser has to be fitted by law. All the best, Peter |

Oh yes, I'm aware of this fact but thankfully i have a '91 model. I've been told that a powerflow exhaust from the cat back and a superchip will still make a difference though

I found that my Stainless Steel two-silencer box exhaust was about as good as you get. It was made up on the car (including the silencer boxes, which are straight through type) by Lifelong at their Cardiff base. They have other bases which can be checked for on their website. All the best, Peter |

Why bother with a £500 ecu chip, when £15 of MBC set to 12/14psi does the same thing??? ask me how i know :-)

Peter,
\How much was the S/S exhaust? And did you mean Longlife as that was the only lot I could find on the web in Cardiff? Tony

Yes mate, Longlife it was and is. The cost was around £400 fully built and welded up in situ. Sounds a bit nicer too as you may have noticed. All the best, Peter |

Have you fitted a boost control and, if so, where did you buy it from and did it have good instructions? I have seen them for sale at Ripspeed, but have not dared to try without more info :-)

Ask Don Norchi. He has them in stock usually. There is another one which will be found in the archives. All the best, Peter |
