Default Car Valuation

I’m after some assistance with a valuation on my car. It’s a 2005 Sonic Blue V70 R Geartronic. It’s in literally immaculate condition, and has a full service history. It’s only got 33k on the clock and it’s a U.K. car, one previous owner aside from me. It’s got park sensors, read spoiler, roof rails the nav and phone (not that they are much use these days!) It’s also got 4 brand new anthracite 18” pegs with equally new Michelin PS4’s tyres on. The original owner swapped out the 18’s for 17’s so I replaced them.

Its not getting the use out of it that I had envisaged when I bought it with my work commitments, so I’m considering selling it.

Only thing is I haven’t got a clue what to advertise it for. It’s a bit of a unique car really. I have all the history of it, even down to the original order form. The interior is Gobi and is as good as the day it came out the factory, it even smells new. I’ve got one thing to sort out on it over the next few weeks, but just considering my options. I’ve seen a few sold on cars and classics or collecting cars auction site, and there’s the usual eBay and autotrader.

I’ve seen a few circa 16k but they are imports with 75k on…thoughts??

Any thoughts or opinions on what I should ask?

If you haven't owned it very long I suppose the main thing would be just try and get back what you bought it for. If you agreed that price at the time then you obviously felt that was a fair price

I think Stuart's advice is both sound and his reasoning sensible.

Alternatively, if you wanted a 'professional' valuation, the 'Classic Car Weekly' publication features a 'Value my classic' column, in which you write in with details of your car and they do a piece on it. Those I have read appear to present a fair assessment and sensible figure.

Regards, John.

Also, can you look up price and availability of a car matching yours in online advertising?
Looking up 'comps' can be fun.
Here we have "cars.com", autotrader.com, kelleybluebook(KBB).com
I suppose your R is a rare bird.
