Twin DCOE Weber issues
Hi gang,
I've had twin DCOE's on my 1983 245 for a few months now and I'm having a few issues. I'm struggling to rev past 4k RPM and no matter how rich or lean I make the mix, it won't go past 4k. It does make an odd noise at this point, like a sucking tap kind of sound (whatever that means). The PVC system currently has a small K&N breather on it rather than going back into the intake as would be stock. Could this be the source of my woes? If so, how would I plumb in the breather which would usually go before the carb and the nipple which would go into the manifold? Touching on a possible vacuum leak, I have had a new break servo installed and, when breaking, I can feel the throbbing of the engine. I feel I'm going down a rabbit hole of issues so any advice and help would be extremely welcome. Would a spicier ipd came solve it? Cheers! Patrick |
