the main stealers is about the same by the look of it.... my quote came from 'Howdens Norwich'....

but as said above a DICE unit & the VIDA setup will pay for itself in the long run, i have the 2005 VIDA disc on my PC but i dont have the DICE unit to pair it with yet...

Another vote for 'buy your own'! first thing I bought when I got the car, it's been worth its weight in gold.

I'm down to 2 errors showing, neither of which I'm too fussed about but will probably get around to them in the future. My car had about 10 live DTC's recorded when I got it - VIDA/DiCE not only tells you the fault, but the most likely cause and how to repair them.

got cheap laptop off ebay with win7 pro, dice was off e-bay both paid for themselves in the 1st couple of months, it seems everytime i touch anything i get a light on lol
on the operation of your air con, do a search for air gap and try to adjust it before wasting money on diagnostics.

Hello mate i read your post about diagnostics. I could reccomend you garage in witney, they are volvo specialists i always service my car over there and they never charged me for computer diagnostics. They are far mor cheaper than main stealers and offering highest standard of service. Call Derek he is the owner and tell him what is the problem, i am sure that he will be able to help - very nice guy. You can tell that you heard about him from a me ( lucas blue v70r from oxford) member of voc.

You can go on their website to find contact.

Thanks for this (and the PM - I couldn't respond, not enough posts yet).

Unfortunately, Witney is a bit too far for me (Reading area), thanks anyway.
