Ahhhh!
Brings on a nice warm glow - warm summer evening, gentle breezes, and a flock of 300s quietly grazing in a wildflower strewn meadow. Listen carefully and you might hear their gentle murmuring - a gearbox input shaft clattering as the propshaft magnifys the sound here, an 84 B14 responding with a touch of cold piston slap there - and from the far side a group of varios whining and droning as they head for the barn. And as the sun sets and the flock has clustered for the night the meadow is empty except for tyre trodden flowers mixed with little crumbly bit from front valences, spots of oil from seeping diff cover plates and the odd droopy parcel shelf. Now! That would make a change to the usual "adopt a giant warthog for Xmas" charity. Mollusk. |

You forgot the prolonged churning of a B19/200E failing to start properly due to worn L-Jet, the poor idle of a 1.7 with worn carb plates and the gentle clonk of the odd collapsing front strut.........

The really old 340's need a scratching post to get at the itching caused by the rust over the wheel arches.

Well, last week found the boss and I wandering about the sarth (Somerset and Dorset)
- so I arranged to have a look at the Redline (on Sat.morning). Was it as good as it looked ? - yep! Deal done, Mollusk's fleet has increased by one Redline! now I just have to get it back to Suffolk - (needs a little work on the brakes). Mollusk. |

PICS!
Another nomination for Volvo owner of the century coming your way Mac. (I realise that's not a real award but if anyone wants a fistfight over it I'm in SR4). |
