Post How To Remove The Power To The Headlight Wipers...

Before doing any 'unplugging of cables' disconnect the negative terminal from the battery! (Don't forget your radio codes)

I was searching yesterday (very briefly) on how to stop my headlight wipers from working. You might be wondering 'why do that? they are useful!'. Well yes they are, if the sprayers worked and the rubber wiper didn't break/perish so quickly (Never wanted to replace them). On my hunt I also removed all the piping to the headlight sprayers and re-directed the washer fluid to just go to my windscreen, which might I add has no delay with the fluid spraying out & is much stronger now!
Before I removed all that pipeing I did actually locate the source to the no spray problem to the headlight wipers, it was the common t-valve near the headlight. This was blocked up with what looked like washing power that goes in a washing machine. Anyway, as I knew I didn't even want/need the headlight wipers I continued...
One thing I might mention though is I want the factory look. I don't like it when the headlight wiper arms are removed and there is either the piece of metal sticking out the hole or there is just a hole.

Anyway, from the photos below you can see the headlight wiper power connectors (brown plugs). There is one either side and they are attached in front of the radiator on the plastic mounting. (I think the later 850 models have a different location, maybe above the headlights?) Just lift up the metal clip with your thumb and slide it back towards the radiator. Then you can disconnect the plug and as I have done, zip-tie them together to stop any rattling.

If you disconnected the negative terminal to the battery, you can now reconnect it. (Re-enter your radio codes)

Now test your wipers and watch them stay still and hear the silence from the now disconnected power to the headlight wiper motor.

Depends how far you want to go, but some people remove the motor and then replace the under-headlight trim with some from a car without the headlamp washers, which gets rid of the holes...

True, and I like that idea. But I think disconnecting the power is just easier.
