So did they diagnose overboost with car plugged in and stationary?

The turbo is told when to be on or off with an ecu signal to the tcv.

The tcv ports vac to the waste gate actuator, to allow exhaut gas to either spill or blow on the tubine.


The tcv is a common fail on these cars, can be cleaned and ressurected if lucky.

If your tcv is malfunctioning the boost can be excessive.

Good your ic is ok.

But beware the overboost may blow the ic.

Where is this tcv valve located. Is it easy to clean. Worth trying isn't it.
