Mirror compass

Looking through the manual and read about this feature. But do I have it?

There is a small hole on the underside of the mirror and I found some resistance when inserting a paper clip as instructed. Problem is that nothing happens. I'm not even sure that this is right as the paper clip does seem to have a lot of room and various angles to rattle around in.

It doesn't feel like the standard paper clip reset button so I wonder if this is standard equipment on an Inscription Pro?

I've never seen the compass (Early MY20) so went and checked the mirror (R-Design) and same as you, there is a hole, but appears no button underneath.

The Owners Manual for the MY19 V60 says

The compass is activated automatically when the car is started.
To deactivate/activate the compass manually:
– Depress the button on the underside of the rearview mirror using e.g. a paper clip.

A footnote says
A rearview mirror with a compass is available as an option on certain markets and models only.

My Inscription Pro has never shown the compass after starting the car, and it wasn't listed as a factory-fitted option by the dealer, so I've just assumed that it isn't fitted. I need to go out now with a paper clip to see if I can jolt something in to life

They do not have a compass any more, there is one in navigation, I also used to have one one driver display when offroad mode selected but that is no longer there after last service.

Ah OK. Thanks for the feedback. Fair enough. I'll have to manage without a compass.

Although I could look around my garage to try and find the old one I had in the 70's. It had a rubber sucker to attach it to inside the windscreen!
