Please help me choose my wheels!
Hi guys,
I'm having a real hard time and would appreciate as much help and feed back as possible. Basically, I've bought a set of new wheels and I honestly cannot decide if I like them above the 123GT wheels with white walls. To be honest I love them both! The white walls fit the period and the general look of the car but are not so great for spirited driving out on the open road. The 17" Torqe Thrust alloys however are absolutely fantastic out on the road. I think they do look fantastic but so do the white walls!!! Any and all feedback/comments would highly appreciated. You are just showing off now !
That's a very (very!) nice package with the colour combination. You have the best of both worlds, but I do rather (really!) like the new (Torqe?) set, but I suspect less acceptable for the purists. Very much shows how a change of wheels can radically alter the look and "attitude" of a car. Enjoy! |

Very nice. Keep both sets. One set for go and the other for show. I suspect that you are already going to do that and you are just being an agent provocateur.

Both sets of wheels look really great. I presume the steelies have been banded? For me, I prefer the whitewalls as they tie-in to the cream coloured roof. But I would keep both!
Nice car! regards Lucien |

The profile shots in the OP, with the new wheels, reminds me of the old Rover Coupe, which I always thought was a very elegant car. I've seen the Amazon in a new light today, it's such a lovely thing!
Keep the originals somewhere safe, so you can return the car to standard for the purists, but drive it on the new ones. That's what I'd do. |
