Default Volvo S40 T4 SE (P1.5)

Hi all,

Despite only being a young'un at 26, this is my 6th car and the one I've had the longest - almost 3 years now! Sadly change of role at work means company car (320d, zzzzzz....) and hence this has to go.

I will get some updated photos tomorrow, but brief spec:

Volvo S40 T4 SE
W Reg / 2000

Colour is listed on V5 as being green, but it's more of a metallic gold/green.

Aproximately 102,000 miles, but I'll get a more accurate figure tomorrow.

Non-standard parts:
  • Front strut brace
  • Mesh grill (original will be supplied too)
  • HID headlights
  • Aftermarket headunit will be left in
  • LED side repeaters
  • Pipercross foam filter

By no means a 100% complete service history, but have a wodge of recent MOTs, service history (recently had new rear discs and pads, drop links fitted).

MOT until Nov-13
Tax until May-13

It's a dream to drive and will genuinely miss it. Can happily soak up the motorway miles, or just as fun on the country back roads. Record MPG for a full tankload was 38mpg, if I drive it enthusiastically around town it will see an indicated 28-29mpg. Insurance isn't quite as ludicrous as some think; I'm 26 and last renewal was £620 FC.

Located in Woking, 15 minutes from M25 J11 although I work just 5 mins from the M25 too.

As I really need to rid as soon as possible, I'm going to ask £1,099 but open to sensible offers.

Cheers............ R

Sometimes you have to pay more to get a well cared for example. 1k isn't a lot if you get yourself a sound car

So do you deal in cars them?

Point to note though. If honesty is going to prevail here. Having the trendy grill puts me off as a buyer.

It makes me think that the car had lead a hard life. And I am sure it hasn't. But those grills send the willies up me.

An after market grille says that to you? So what would you think if it had aftermarket wheels? Thats nonsence.

Think what he means is that a car that has been modded (in any way however small) may indicate that its been driven hard. I also would prefer to buy a standard looking car.

Maybe. But people like individuality too. Im not fussed with grilles, wheels or ecus. Look at the car in question. Looks lovely, but that grille would put him off ? Each to their own i suppose.
