Yes, I know they're a slug, I've had a 740 GL auto estate but with parents down in Wales who I've not been able to afford to visit since last December and most of my friends down in London, I'd be happy to give precedence to social life over Volvo model I'm afraid

Did you manage to sell the car?

I looked back at the link and the auction has closed out with no-bids?

TBH taking into acount the leaking pump and the ripped lining ( that won't ever stop ripping - been there twice myself ) and the fact that whoever buys it will need to spend an additional £106 cash for 6 months RFL I don't think anyone will spend over, say, £150 on your car, whatever you've spent on it yourself.

Also, as it's getting closer to xmas, unless they SORN the car in november they will need to pay a full month for 1/2 a months rfl.

So if they don't and SORN it to start the RFL in dec that's just 4 mos useable MOT left.

However, if they wait even longer and SORN till end dec your car's now only got 3 mos useable MOT left with probable work needing doing before it's MOT in March 2010.

Then again, why wuld they buy your car and leave it outside their house (if they can, w/o tax) instead of wait and buy another car in Jan 2010.

See what I mean; I think your starting price is about £100-£175 too high at least and the no bids from ebay would tend to agree with this.

Just the way I see it looking at the other cars out there, but someone local to you might disagree.

Whoops, sorry you're right and I'm wrong - I'd just posted on another string a response to the owner and I was wearing the same head in error.

It's just that a lot of people join on here and on the same day say 'I'm selling my car on ebay, come on over' and I'd got mixed up.

No offence meant and unless he sorts his price out he won't be selling that car this side of xmas.

Regards
