Question XC70 dipped bulb replacement

Hi all, '07 185 hp D5 XC70. My n/s dipped beam bulb has failed. I've looked at it, read all the past threads, and am still not sure how best to approach the job (if at all). I'm not concerned how long it takes, but just how easy/difficult it is. My old '02 V70 I could do in minutes (had lots of practice).

I don't think with my old arthritic fingers I can attempt it in-situ, and I don't want to start removing lumps of electrical gear 'cos something always goes wrong afterwards, so is the best way to remove the bumper and then the headlamp? I can't find a thread on removing XC70 bumpers, is it the same as the V70? I managed that without any problems a couple of times.

Any advice greatly appreciated, otherwise it's a 25 mile round trip and half a day at the dealers, and no doubt a big bill.

Halfords, supply and fit! Watch someone else skin their knuckles. Worth the money for the chuckles!

Hi Spike, I'm told they won't do Volvos, but must admit I've never tested it out. Might be worth a go just to test the anecdotes. Cheers AG

Hi AG,if your headlight bulb looks like the headlight in the picture then its a HID xenon. If not its halogen.
