Car SIM card - Sky mobile free sim offer
For those on Sky mobile just seen that they are offering a free SIM card (unlimited calls and 100mb of data) for 12 months. The benefit is that if you have a large piggy bank of data on your existing phone account you can share it with the new sim.
For me I’ve built up 270GB which will probably just go to waste. With this free sim I’ll just load a couple of GB a month into it and use it in my V60 for map updates and Spotify etc Deal details here: https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/fre...ontent=3666782 Think you have to be logged into your Sky account to see it showing as free at checkout. |

No idea if it works in Volvos but Three have offered a “free” 200mb sim for yonks
https://www.three.co.uk/Free_SIM_MBB/Order I don’t know what the small print is though. The sky one looks like a better deal if you’re with them if you can share data. Last edited by amadan; Feb 14th, 2021 at 16:25. |

I've had the Three free 200mgb sim in my Volvo for about 18 months, works without any issues.

Well I have today received my free sky SIM card, loaded and activated it but the car cannot find the sim...any suggestions please. Previously I had the Vodaphone sim that came from the dealer but as the cars not done more that 1200 miles since last January due to lockdown the data has expired so thought the Sky sim would work. The sim is active as I made a call first to check.

If it continues to not be recognised you could try it in an old phone that accepts a mini sim. Last edited by pzctjf; Feb 18th, 2021 at 19:08. |

All sorted, activated it again in an iPhone and that did the trick for some reason.

I think the phone has to be a 4g phone to activate the 3 sim, I tried mine in an old 3g phone and it did not work, it activated fine in a 4g phone, then worked in the cars 3g modem.
