Yeah, I was looking at that...

Can't make my mind up if it's rotten or not, the pics are pretty rubbish quality.

Certainly looks like the doors have some rot, and conveniently no pics from the front to see the valance or lack thereof!

It definitely would need checking out before someone bought it

i bought this.

interior is mint, love the redline interior, looks lush. bearing in mind it took about 3 hours to tidy up all the crap that was left inside but now it shines.

in fairness it started up first time so no problems there, actually quite tidy in the engine bay. it had new dizzy, leads and fuel filter fitted not long ago, needs an oil and filter change though. 104,000 miles on the clock.

bad points are the rear diff is slightly misted from oil, one arch is scraped from a previous parking fail and the paintwork is scratched quite badly like a dog has been let loose on it, also has as a crack in the windscreen (drivers side) a little hole on the exhaust that a spot of weld will sort out.

just generally needed a good tidy up and a clean, but overall quite happy with my new toy..

Helo and welcome to the forum.
Good to see it is being brought back to life and not bought for parts.
What plans do you have for it?

Thanks!

well its going to be a cruiser, might turn it into my daily once I get it through the MOT! i'm going to drop it 75mm all around, already got the springs and blocks from classic swede, just need to buy some gas landrover shocks for the rear and then work out what to do with the fronts!!

Just a quick question! do you have any experience with what J width I can go to on the wheels with a 75mm drop? I was just toying with the idea of getting some 7"J minilites or similar but don't want to buy into a set that will rub! and have you ever heard of anyone rolling the arches to clear the rims?

Tom

See my for sale thread F7R powered 3dr, thats on 7" Wide minilites and i had to have the rear arches rolled as the tyres scrubbed badly, that said i'm not a scenester and prefer a chunky tyre to the stretch look. Even with them rolled they still scrubbed with passengers in the back.
