  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Default ABS pump motor circuit fault

This is on my 1999 v70r I re soldered the joints about 10 years ago so will need doing again I can't remember it the unit can be separated from the body to save having to bleed the system does anyone know

If the unit is the same as my 1998 V70 T5 then the electronic control is bolted to the valve body and can be removed separately.

The biggest problem I had was getting at the four mounting screws without removing the turbo hose. If you are able to do this then I recommend removing the hose, but I couldn't get it detached so had to work around it and finished up losing my socket (fortunately as I tightened the last screw).

Mines not standard and has a large front intercooler so it's all hard piped so should make it easier hopefully

Just to add that, from memory, you will need a female T5 socket for the four mounting screws.

A normal socket will also do if stuck:~ From memory 4mm.
Copper grease the small bolts when replacing- for the next time or new owner.
