I think that's the big issue. I've just jumped on a 2020 XC60 fully loaded with BLIS, 360 camera etc. now rather than waiting because the shortages (and also reduced new car buying due to COVID) mean that for the next couple of years there won't be any "nearly new" cars with these optional extras. So either mine will go up in value or I'll be happy in the knowledge I didn't have to compromise and not have all the extras.

The XC40 is outselling the ford focus ,
(which is no longer a cheap car of course )
